In 1920s Hollywood, a new group of chaotic Minions working as background extras dream of becoming movie stars. To break into the industry, they attempt to film their own monster movie. However, after misusing a magical book, they accidentally unleash real monsters, forcing them to band together to save the planet from total pandemonium.
